You can never have your fill of American Diners we decide, as we go to our second in 24-hours. This is for breakfast though and so a different affair altogether. We order a coffee and fresh orange juice before deciding the variation of eggs we’d like with our hash browns. It’s a busy place with the stools at the counter being full as well as all of the booths. Coffee is poured and refilled and we start the day looking out to a cold and windy morning in San Francisco from our warm and busy table. The pile of food that soon appears in front of us is massive, with the quantity of eggs equalling that of hash browns and again equally that of corned beef hash in Alice’s case. We make a good attempt at finishing, but once again come short and grab the case ready for the drive out of the city.
We manage to get out of the city and back onto the highway taking us to Folsom. We’ve checked online and half-way back there is an outlet mall so we decide to stop in there to pick up some clothes and anything else that takes our fancy. It’s pretty big and we even have to drive between some sections, but we pick up a few bargains and it’s much nicer shopping in the quiet here than it might be on Oxford Street.
We get back to Folsom just in time for Scott to head out for his chiropractor appointment that Lesley has made. Scott comes home after being cracked about a bit, but after an ice pack he is feeling better (or at least closer to better than he has been for the last few days).
For dinner Tom fires up the BBQ outside and we eat out with fair helpings of meat, salad and wine to finish the day off.
