Egyptian artifact de ja vu

In our wandering around the Egyptian Museum we stumble on this statue:

We both recognise it, but cannot work out where from! In the end we just assume the cross-legged scribe is a famous image that appears in loads of ancient Egypt progs maybe.

That is until we get our wallets out to pay for dinner later and suddenly it all fits in place!
