Cairo bucket list: Bab Zuweyla

This was a favourite old haunt of ours and so we're really pleased we've managed to go one last time.
Leila enjoyed a runaround on the top of Bab Zuweyla, although her daring runs to the edge and precarious leaning over the edge kept us both on our toes.

This was Leila's third visit to the tentmakers market (the first two being to design then collect her name hanging) but unfortunatly Ashraf was not there this time. We bought a few pieces from his nephew, though, and left some photos with him of our prevous visits.

I remember when the shipping company asked us if we were going to buy anything else to ship we confidently said 'no', but as well as the new cushion cover we bought 6m of ramadan material (kids curtains maybe), coffee, a mini fanoox lantern and a tent!

It was a late drive home (as we tried to fit the trip between nap wake-up at 3pm and dinner at 5.30) and we got home just after 6 in the end. A kate dinner was fine though as she'd survived a slow traffic journey home on crackers, rice cakes and a Shaggy mix-tape!
