So if you are not working and are at home all day then you get to looking out of the window a lot. This is the Maadi version of the Alfred Hitchcock film and so is based around the Kitchen Window where I am washing up, rather than the Rear Window because of an injury.
It seems that rope does solve every problem in Cairo. Here is is solving the problem of how do you install air con on the side of a tall building. The guy here has a long rope tied (some how!) at the top of the building and then he climbs up each knot (like you used to do in PE years ago) until he is where he wants to be and hooks his sling/seat over the knot. If he needs to move position he swings himself on the rope from side to side.
