The Felukuleles - Live

The Felukueles played a few times over the past fortnight. The first was in the open air at school:

Our second gig saw us taking to the stage at Boss Bar, one of the few bars and gig venues in Cairo.  Fortunately it's only 10 minutes' walk up the road!

We played five songs, but unfortunately the video camera stopped working at the end of the first and missed the second.  Alice spotted it, though, so was able to sort it out in time for the third onwards.  Hooray!  You can see the videos in the playlist below:

Our final performance of this hectic fortnight was as part of the 24-hour 'fun run' in aid of Dan Fahy's attempt on the Marathon Des Sables in Mrch/April this year.  Staff and students at school started runnign around the track at 8.20 on Wednesday morning, with one person always carrying a sash around the track.  Anyone could join in, and at one point during the day there were over 400 students and staff heading roudn the track.  The sash kept going.  The Felukuleles headed to school at 6am on Thursday, arriving to see one of the band - Tony - already doing a solo half hour around the track carrying the sash.  The Felukuleles took to the track at 7.30am, and walked around the track while playing their ukes.  Different members of the band broke off to run some laps, and other staff and students took the sash at different points as well.
